The lab
We are located in laboratory 5.52 in the Chemistry Building at Manchester; some of the equipment in our lab is shown below. Each researcher works on a dedicated Schlenk line equipped with drying column and argon gas and has access to a high specification glove box. We are able to work with thorium and uranium in 5.52 and our group is affiliated with the Centre for Radiochemistry Research (CRR), giving us access to dedicated "hotlabs" to work with transuranic materials.
