The lab
Since August 2024 our group has been located in The University of Manchester Chemistry Building 3rd Floor Brunswick Street Wing, Office 3.056 and Lab 3.058. This is fully refurbished lab space made with us in mind as the users (we were formerly located in Chemistry Building 5th Floor Dover Street Wing Office 5.53 and Lab 5.52). Photos of our office/lab space and some of the equipment in our lab is shown below. Each researcher works on a dedicated Schlenk line equipped with drying column and argon gas and has access to two high specification glove boxes (Vigor and Innovative Technologies). We are able to work with thorium and uranium and our group is affiliated with the Centre for Radiochemistry Research (CRR).
